Allotment visit

John had a day off this week which he spent at the allotment. As it was beautiful weather I took lunch down and spent an hour or so in the fresh air. Of course Biddle and Gardiner Bunny came too.

It has been a very good full first year on the plot. We have had loads of beans

Somewhere in here courgettes are nestling

and here a cucumber

Have you eaten nasturtium flowers? They are quite peppery.

These are covering the path between beds.
The leeks are growing slowly

The bees have enjoyed the wild flowers.

A good growing year.

Looks like a bumper harvest. Hasn't the good weather been great ? Think you might have a few showers heading your way, it's started to rain here, at least it will help the last of the harvest :-) x x x
