Monday 25th June was a very exciting day because I got to open my ornament exchange package. And what a lovely surprise the most wonderful beaded snowman. He is gorgeous. Thank you Becky. Becky added some little extra surprises to my package which I am looking forward to stitching. Watch this space!

The idea was to stitch a Christmas ornament mail it by a certain date and we would all open them on 25th June.
Here is the one I made and sent to Julie

I don't often stitch duplicates but I just have to stitch one for myself.

New things

I have been busy this month and can now show a picture of Hope, she is a bunny that I sent to a good internet friend in Canada. The original pattern is from a book called Little Grey Rabbit's Pattern Book by Pamela Peake.
Sorry there is no picture on amazon of the book.

I have now made three bunnies based on this pattern one I kept, another went to the USA as part of a group swap and Hope. I find it very therapeutic deciding on different fabrics and trims.

I have also made Pumpkin Moon from a pattern by Magic Thread. I love Julie McCullough's patterns. The instructions are so easy to follow. The wing problem was sorted out with some wire threaded through. Pumpkin Moon still needs a few additions but here she is so far:

The garden has changed dramatically over the last few weeks. We have tidied up a bit more and things have begun to grow.

We have also added a garden bench but no photos yet as the weather has been dreadful

Where did May go?

May past so quickly that I didn't get chance to write anything here. The end of April was a sad time as we had to have to have Thomas our puss put to sleep. he had diabetes which was being managed by diet but he went downhill rapidly out of the blue. We had him just about two years and he was a rescue cat. This is the first time in about 35 years I have had no pets.

I worked most of May and looked forward to half term and my birthday. For the second year running it was really cold at the end of the month. I have made several things but I can't put up pictures until they are received by the recipitants. I have also had "wing problems which I need to sort!!!

John bought me a brilliant book for my birthday poetry and cricket combined. A Breatheless Hush
I was so pleased with it.

On the Tuesday after Bank Holiday we went to Manchester and looked around the art gallery as we hadn't been sinc e the renovations.

Evenings lately have been dominated by Springwatch

so now we are thinking about nest boxes and feeders

Tagged

Well I haven't been around for a wile due to work but it seems I have been tagged. I don't really know anything abouot this except that I have to post the rules say 7 things a bout my self and then tag 7 other people so here are the rules

Here are the rules: Each player starts with 7 random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to write on their own blog about their seven things, as well as these rules. You need to choose 7 people to get tagged and list their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they have been tagged and to read your blog!
