Squash
We grew these in the allotment
John made this for Sunday dinner a couple of weeks ago. And very tasty it was too. Quorn mince with various vegetables and grated cheese, potatoes and runner beans from the allotment.
It has been a busy week music wise. Steve Knightley and Dervish at Saltaire. A classical music concert with the Engllish Piano trio at St George's Hall and last night Kate Rusby. The past two years we have seen Kate Rusby around Christmas time. Both years a cold was threatening her beautiful voice. No problems this year.
The birds are much more used to the window feeders now
but the starlings are incredibly greedy.
Thanks if you posted a comment last time I am sorry I did not get around to individual thanks.

It's September already.
Where has the year gone? The nights are drawing in and by the time we left the allotment last night the street lights were all on. Our holiday seems a memory now. In our second week we visited The Yorkshire Sculpture Park
Both Bhudda and Octopus were getting a bit of a spruce up.
We had not been to Bolton Abbey before
I didn't get too near
But John was much braver!
We also visited the Quilt Museum in York. And had a day in Manchester.
Since our holiday we have harvested all the potatoes and picked loads of runner beans.
We had a lovely treat yesterday watching a family of Goldfinches. We counted two adult birds and six fledglings.
Now I must get to grip with something creative. Seems a long time since I made anything!
