Worms

live in a bin down the garden. They are hiding munching peelings and other vegetable waste. Each day they are busy, busy. Every now and again they are disturbed

The resulting compost is used to grow more food

and the worms go back to the wormery to start the process all over again. A good way to recycle.

Today is a special day down south: My mum's 84th birthday.

Growing

Things are beginning to grow at the allotment. So Biddle and Gardiner Bunny went to check them out.

But first they tried out the new wheelbarrow

They saw

plants protected by cloches

including broad beans

and things they forgot the name of
They checked the seedlings in the greenhouse

including the tomatoes

collected up the rhubarb leaves for the compost bin

and brought the rhubarb home for tea

Tia...

... has had a busy week

She discovered the top of the fire was ornament free because the gas man was coming.

This needed further investigation.

She found a nice spot in the sun

Earlier on in the week she had tried on Biddle's scarf

And found a great spot for a snooze

But she did not get her little paws on these!

a mystery

and other things.

Not long after Christmas Tia lost purple mousie. We hunted everywhere. Pulled things out turned other things upside down to no avail. Then last Sunday while hoovering I pulled out a file

and there was purple mousie

Tia was very happy

and I know full well that I had looked there before!
I had a very nice day on Mothering Sunday Elizabeth came with flowers, choccies, cake and smelly bath stuff and soap. Which I have not yet photographed.

My Mother Nature Spring is finished. I rather like her.

and it seems a bird does too.
